I am so glad to get this off the needles. While it has been that slow in actual knitting time having it on the needles since December has made it feel like it’s taken forever.
This is the Camelia Tee by K.M. Bedigan. It’s top down with raglan sleeves which have a lace panel on the top of the shoulder. The sleeves end just barely after they are separated from the body. The edges are all finished with an i-cord bind-off (the neckline is a provisional cast-on which is later bound off). The yarn I have used in Lithuanian Linen from Midwinter Yarns in the Cobalt colourway. This is a heavy lace-weight which is a little lighter than the pattern calls for so it’s a fairly loose gauge. The yarn was a bit stiff in knitting but has softened up after being washed already and it should get even softer. The water was a bit blue on washing so I’ll need to keep an eye on that in the future.
I knitted a bit longer than the pattern suggests (15″ from the underarm) but still had 25g leftover from my second skein so no yarn chicken here. I love the colour and hope it will be a nice cool top for a bit later in the year.
