Colour Affection

Pattern: Colour Affection
Designer: Veera Välimäki
Knitted for: KHH
Wool used (colourway): Austermann Merino Lace (deep lilac, rain grey, black)
Size: Laceweight
Any problems with pattern: Modified edge stitches to include a dropped yarnover. Used kfb instead of m1l & m1r
Ravelry Project Link: here

Love the result but would probably knit the fingering weight version if I did it again simply because the rows get ridiculously long in the laceweight version (500+ stitches). I’ve decided to give it away, not because I don’t like it because I do but because it wants to go. It’s perfect colours and perfect timing to be gifted. I didn’t get a picture of it in use before putting it in the post so it blocking will have to do. (I also didn’t measure it but the squares it’s on are 60cm wide.)

  1. Genius use of foam mats! The shawl looks incredibly fine, it must have taken ages.
