Jaywalkers

A rather slow pair of socks has finally come off the needles. (Slow because of lack of knitting rather than the pattern). I love the bright colours. They are sort of striping and the colourway worked quite well with the chevron pattern but the difference in gauge on the leg and sole means that the leg pattern is a bit different from the foot pattern. The pattern repeat is only two rows and it is easy to work out which row you’re on. This made them good for short bursts of activity which is the only way they got any work on them done for quite a while. I think I knitted most of the second sock in a couple of weeks before Christmas when everyone in the house was sick one after the other.
Jaywalkers
Pattern: Jaywalkers
Designer: Grumperina
Knitted for: Me
Wool used (colourway): King Cole Zig Zag (Rhapsody)
Size: S
Any problems with pattern: A little tight to get on but expect this to become easier with time (and is caused by my arches not a fault in the pattern).

I’d make them again though I’ve two other pairs of socks planned right now and two other pairs on the needles after receiving sock wool for Christmas (one pair is baby sized though).
